Let me walk you through the hell I've been through...
I got Rock Band when I came home for thanksgiving break. I heard numerous reports of faulty strum bars after only an hour of play. I played all weekend with no problems. At least 5 hours, I figured I was in the clear.
I get back to my dorm sunday, and my girlfriend wants to play. Sure, I fire up the PS3, and pretty soon it was apparent she was missing notes. Crap..I have a faulty guitar.
So I go on EAs replacement site, fill everything out, and submit........1 week later....
Nothing. No emails, no word on my new guitar, and I put express shipping on it where you get a new one right away and send your old one. So I call up EA.
Well it turns out I made a mistake....my zip is ****7....I had ****8....whoops....obviously i blured it for obvious reasons...but I was amazed why I got no email about this mistake....nothing.
Well, I spend 15 min on the phone fixing things, giving him my credit info, and wait again. Friday arrives and my UPS tracking says my guitar arrived back home! Woo! So my parents came down today (sat the 8th) to bring me cash for laundry, food, along with some T.P. and of course, my guitar.
My dad comes up to my room, puts my guitar down, and we chat for a while. After 20 min or so, he leaves, and what do I do? Go right for the guitar........wait a min....this is really light....
I open it up, and low-and-behold it's empty....
So I call EA again (I called maybe 5 times total) and tell them I know I gave them credit information and everything so I'd get a new guitar right away. After talking with him, he decides to send me a new one, again, but it wont get shipped out till (hopefully [great words i wanna hear]) Monday. And I tried to make it sent to my dorm so I don't have to wait for my parents to bring it.
I swear, if this happens again or something, I'm going to be so pissed. I already am that I don't get a free game since I messed up my zip code, that my GH3 controllers STILL don't work, and that I'm playing with a crapped out guitar.
I love the game, but stop making your crap in foregin countries.

"I already am [pissed] that I don't get a free game since I messed up my zip code"
Why should YOU get a free game when YOU messed up on YOUR zip-code?
If that was the case everyone would ge getting free games.

You're dumb. It seems that most of this was your fault.

Can you explain to me the "obvious reasons" for starring out your zip?

How was most of this my fault? As if it's hard for an automatic email to be sent out when something is wrong.
And it's never smart to post a zip code on a forums.

So, is your girlfriend an expert Guitar Hero player? Otherwise, the assumption that her missing notes is automatically a faulty guitar seems ridiculous. And yes, it's your fault for entering your ZIP wrong, they're not mind readers.

No, shes not, she plays on easy, but she doesn't suck ass. Typically she can get 95% of the notes on Maps, but she had about 60% with my guitar after it went faulty.

You're right. Some lunatic could find out what town/city you live in, and then go door-to-door to thousands of houses looking for you.
Can you explain to me the "obvious reasons" for starring out your zip?
This is an easy one. It's the fear of people labeling his city as a "dumb" city. For example if he lived Dallas, people might think "Man, those people in Dallas sure are dumb".

You know, a lot of people live in small rural towns where a zip code can narrow down where they live to a great extent.
53097...happy? Jesus why do you people care so damn much. Mequon, Wisconsin....but right now, I'm in Milwaukee, 53211.
Cool, Mequon...population is under 5000, so it's just a matter of time before the foreigners find you. They just have to peek through the dorm room windows and look for the broken Strat...:D
