Many replacements going out are looking like they have been used. Scratches, scrapes, you name it. I sent off for a replacement because I have a first gen model and I was told by EA support that I should request a replacement because they will break and they are crap. Those were their words. I noticed on some songs the double strumming has a hard time keeping up with long strings of notes and I had a feeling mine was going to crap out at any moment like many others. So I decided to order the replacement.

I'm glad I didn't send mine off first. The replacement I received looked and felt terrible. It was so bad that I didn't even bother to plug it into my 360. I refuse to replace my guitar with one that is in worse condition, even if it might have a newer strummer in it. I would be pissed if I had sent mine in and received the replacement that I did. I told them I am going to keep sending them back until I get one that is acceptable.

So just a word of caution. If you choose the box method and send yours back first, just know there is a good chance that you will have to deal with the stress of wondering if you will ever get a nice looking, nice feeling, working replacement. Good luck to everyone.

Yes but I don't have to have them hold on to $250 for an indefinite period of time to get both of my instruments replaced. I have other video games, I can wait.

for those who are prone to *****ing (valid or not), use the express. :D
