Tutti Frutti- Little richard ( Seen here (http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=mlkMc0ZaJmY) ) This one would be hard, because of the lack of a guitar, HOWEVER i dont see them using a cover of this song, replacing the piano parts with a Guitar. Why i say this should be included in the Legend pack? During the first British invasion the major bands like The Kinks, The Beatles, and The Rolling Stones all say Little richardwas a major influence on how they proformed or made music. Correct me if i'm wrong in my assumption.
Lola- The Kinks (here (http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=IMsnqQHOwFg&feature=related)) Not as big of an influence as saythe beatles, but it was something to be said that the American band union banned them from playing in the U.S. until 1969. This is a fantastic song In my opinion, and funny andsilly at the same time. Hilarious premise.
TaxMan- The Beatles (heard here (http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=jzLry3ABpV0)
or While my guitar gently weeps (Here (http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=AHChc2I7FKk)) I put the Beatles on the list because if not for the British invasion we would probably be listening to Crooners like Frank Sinatra (not insulting Sinatra, i like his music personally, but rock and roll will always have a spot in my heart).
Manic Depression- The Jimi Hendrix Experience (Here (http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=mv2W-8BRBjQ)) Hendrix was voted the Number one Guitarist by rolling stone magazine. source (http://www.rollingstone.com/news/story/5937559/the_100_greatest_guitarists_of_all_time/) I chose Manic depression because it's the most diverse The Hendrix Experience made. Featuring more Bass then some of their other songs, and the Amazing drum portions. Hendrix revolutionized the art of guitar, utilizing feedback in a way that can only be discribed as Wizardry. I know it would be hard getting the licensing for a Hendrix song, but it's still a pipe dream of mine.
Rock and Roll- The Velvet Underground (Here (http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=lzm5NUg-8Tc) The Velvet Underground and the entire Newyork scene during the Flower movement went by completely unnoticed at the time, but as Brian Eno said "Not many people bought a Velvet underound album at the time, but those that did formed a band that everyone loves." Notable bands that were influenced by this David Bowie, and the Sex Pistols.
I would put Creedence Clearwater revival, on the list, but they already have a song for download if what i heard and read was true. I would say they need to put more Creedence though. I would suggest Proud Mary.
I mean i could Put more on the list but i want to hear peoples oppinions on the matter. Different song choices of bands i put? Band i forgot? Feedback? Bad jokes?
