Why isn't my career score going up?

Is there something I don't know? For a while my career score in drums was sky-rocketing. I was in the 400's (this is a HUGE guess) when I finished MEDIUM and i've been going through HARD and "had" gotten up to the 120's. Then as I start to complete songs, my score no longer rises. It stays at around 6,368,***. It's really annoying. I mean, I figured DLC songs don't count....duh, but i'm playing the regular solo career list songs and they don't do anything. I even beat 2 drum songs on expert and the score still stays there. Does anyone know what's happening? Am I going crazy?

It takes your highest point total from one difficulty. Ex. I have 4mil in medium and 3mil in hard. My career score would be 4mil.

Yeah, but i'm doing BETTER in HARD mode and my score's not increasing when I play songs in it. I'll check again. Can it also be if I did better on a specific song on MEDIUM than in HARD, the HARD score won't count? That's happened a couple times and may make sense for me.

That's exactly right--it takes the top score on a given song regardless of difficulty, and adds that up to get your career score.

No wonder......I wanted to raise my score some on the drums, so I decided to run through the easy solo tour but my scores WOULD NOT increase. This helps to know why thanks :)

For those familiar with the GH2 leaderboards for the xb360 ... it's exactly the same mechanic.
