I got my Xbox 360 Strat out of the box and started to play when I noticed a rattle inside it. Is that normal?

the rattle is normal all of my friends do, and your wammy is not about to break people have been complaing about rattling in there guitars after there wammy breaks is because the spring is broken off, you can fix it with a rubber band it and it will as good as new.

the rattle may be part of the tilt sensor

It IS part of the tilt sensor. It's literally a ball or two moving around in a tiny tube. You can open it up for yourself and see. But I'd just trust us on that, instead.

For me the rattling was from lots of broken bits of glue. I just opened it up and tossed out the glue bits.

I dont think It is normal, I noticed the rattle(sounds close to the strum bar) now I have to send my strat back because my guitar double strums at random times.
If Im doing this
ssssssssssssssss(strum), it'll go
ssssssdsssssssds(double strum)
I noticed playing "when you were young" and "seven," and "reptillia"
Hopefully that won't happen to you
but did you drop it?

IT IS NORMAL FOR GOD'S SAKE!!!! LOL

I opened mine up and there are 2 sensors for the tilt to activate the "star" power or whatever it is called in this game. Both of those sensors are located a little beneath the strum bar. It took me a few minutes to figure out where the noise was coming from because my strum bar broke and I thought it was from that. But after I took it all apart I found the true source. These sound as annoying as a baby's rattler.
