purchasable costumes for alternate players?

this is the first time ive been on this forum and if i sound like a noob i am very sorry, but recently me and my friends were playing a multiple person career mode, and when we started it, we just wanted to play and had so little time that we never got to really choose our gear. i realize that i can purchase outfits for my character (the leader of the band), but cant with the bass player and drummer and singer, so i ask, can anybody help me figure out how to buy gear for alternate players?

If you are talking about the BWT mode then all you have to do is before you go to continue to gig, move the cursor to the rock shop and each player picks the rock shop option and change their attire.

In quick mode I believe you can only choose rockers you have created and went through solo tour or BWT. Otherwise its only a generic character.
