Well if I knew what you're playing maybe I could help.
My guess though would be vocals, right?

dont hit all of the notes. just hit like 4/5 and skip the ones that are throwing you off. then as you master 4/5 add in that last one. Its kind of hard to understand but I think you will get it.

Well in that case I can certainly help you as I just beat that son of a ***** today.
Okay here is my biggest piece of advice. DON'T go crazy. Keep a steady consistent beat. My Achilles heel was the R>O/G (Red > Bass/Green) part. I kept failing out. Finally I just kept my cool and kept a good flow trying my best to keep my foot always on the pedal and not bring the sticks too far up.
In between, again don't go crazy. As long as you can nail the intro (which is easy just count "one, two, one, two" in your head) and the R>O/G part your good. The fills in between do matter but not as much.
After that you've got it made! Long Time is pretty easy and straightforward.

are you talking about hard or expert, because the way you put it, it sounded like you were talking about hard. I can hit the blue+ bass and green+bass, but i can't keep a steady rythm on the double reds before the green/blue +bass. i always end up hitting too slow.

practice going RLL RLL RLL RLL RLL then just add the bass foot to all the right hand hits and you be fine.
