View Full Version : Guitar Sync Problem (and mini-rant)

I have the Rock Band PS3 bundle which I got on release day here in the US. I wasn't allowed to play it until I finally wore down my significant other last night (Christmas gift). The guitar works fine normally (for now... less than 4 hours play time), but if it powers itself off or you turn it off with the switch while the system is on, the guitar will not re-sync with the wireless adapter. The only way I can get it to work (other than powering down the system) is to unplug the USB adapter and then hook it back in. Is anyone else experiencing this issue?

This may sound like a minor problem, but frankly is a major PIA given how often I walk away from the game for a few minutes at a time. The PIA is compounded by the fact that I only have 2 USB's in my PS3 and so I have to dig behind the TV where I have my USB splitter installed.

This frustrates me even more given that my PS3 has the lovely benefit of having 7 bluetooth ports, which leaves me the following questions: 1) Why did I need to spend ~$20 on the USB splitter to play all of the instruments in the game? 2) Why am I dealing with a wireless adapter to begin with? 3) Why does my living room carpet have more wires on it than the main stage at Bonnaroo (i.e., why don't all of the instruments incorporate bluetooth)?

Bueller...Bueller...Bueller

Must be an uncommon problem... I sure hope so.
