DLC- It's there but not working.

My brother and I both have different gamer files for Rock Band, but once my brother downloaded the killers pack and more than a feeling which they all work on his file but not on mine. All the songs are on the gig guide but when I select one it loads up with the trivia and stuff but then the other loading screen pops up (the one with the drummer) and takes me back to the menu screen. I tried re-downloading but it turns out I have to re-purchase it Any clues.......

I don't own an Xbox so this is a guess, but I believe it matters which XBL gamertags are signed in either

A) when the songs are purchased
or
B) when you're trying to play them.

Hopefully someone who actually owns and uses this system can provide you some better advice :P

Make sure his profile his signed in as well. I have the same issue, when Rock Band first came out I bought a few songs on one profile and then the rest of my songs I bought on a different profile. I have to sign in both profiles to make sure that all my songs will work and one wont pop up a random setlist and kick me back to the main menu.

If your still having problems after that, try deleting the songs he just bought with his profile and download them again, there shouldn't be any re-purchasing necessary.

dlc is tied to the console FIRST downloaded onto

or to the gamertag when logged into xbl

As aznman said, DLC is linked to the console (not HD) on which it was downloaded and the gamertag that paid for it. If you repaired or replaced your X360, you may need to migrate both your and your brother's licenses.

In the interim, having your brother's gamertag signed in will allow you to use the gamertag license to play the tracks.
