View Full Version : Third guitar still not perfect...

Got my second replacement guitar today. Took only 3 days instead of 2 weeks like the first replacement so that's an improvement. Took it out of the box and it wasn't scratched like the other one. Looked pretty good.

Then i pressed on the frets. If you read my other topic complaining about the other guitar, i said the frets on the first replacement were HARD! It messed me up during fast HO/PO parts, but the frets on the new one were better. Harder than the original guitar but better.

So I boot the game up and i try the down strum. Much more responsive than my previous one. Nice! Then i up strum. Nothing. Up strum harder. Nothing. God ****ing damn it. I strum up all i can and finally it responds. The up strum is garbage! I cant alt strum with this damn thing. Argh! But okay, the down strum is better so i'll play with it. Let's try out the overdrive sensor. Well, on my other one as soon as I got over drive it went off. On this one it will do so also but it's rare. As long as i hold it kind of low it wont go off. But like the first one i have to shake and it move it a lot to get it to work. Forced to use the select button. God. Damn. It.

So what now? Order another one and get yet another $125 charge on my account and maybe get an even worse one again? I'm thinking about opening it up and fixing it up but i should have to do that until i've put hundreds of hours into it, not from the get go. Has anyone fixed theirs and then returned them and not have had problems? I'm thinking about opening it and making it better if i can and once they finally get these damn things working perfectly order another one, but i'm worried they'll realize i tampered with it and want to charge me for it. I'd be damn pissed. What do you gys suggest?

I'm juggling replacements as well. I'm just going to keep getting replacements for now. I don't really care about the credit card charges as I will not have to pay for them anyway.

My current replacement has a working downstrum but a broken upstrum and tilt sensor. Having a completely working downstrum is a vast improvement for me.

I'll be keeping this one till I finally get a fully functional guitar. Still awaiting a new drum kit and bass pedal.

ha thats why I just fixed my gen 1 guitar the design was good and there were no problems exept the pad behind the microswitch being too small.
