Ok, I have read through numerous threads about how Rock Band never explictly stated the GH3 Les Paul would work with rock band. Well that is absolutely correct. That beind siad I would like to point out a couple things.
1. For the PS3 Harmonix and EA games released a standalone Rock Band Disc ( I.E. The game with out all of the instruments). Why is this important?
Well since they have not yet released stand alon equipment for purchase one has to assume that EA believed prior to release that the GH3 PS3 Les Pauls would function fine on their software. I only say this due to the fact why would any company release a game that can not be played with controllers that are currently on the market.
2. Lets assume that what that number 1 is wrong. Then that tells me that EA intended to also release additional controllers out side the box set so that people could purchase only the itmes that interested them.
If this is the case then I am going to assume that they were made aware of the defected Guitars and drum kits prior to release date and begin retrofitting their current inventory in preperation of the massive backlash from those that purchased the Boxed set and in their haste forgot to inform the retailers to pull the stand alone game copys.
In closing taking either stance I have presented here Rock Band owes all of its customers an apology for their short sightedness in persuit of making a Dollar.
