Alright, so I did a search for a thread similar to this one and found none. So I decided to create my own thread for this subject.

So who likes camping on the RB forums? I know I sure do. I think we go out for camping each and every year... I love camp fires, sleeping in a tent, going to the beach, go hiking, hot dogs on the fire, the camp fire stories, the fresh air....

Camping for me is all kinds of win.

What about guys? Also, got any camping stories?

Here's one that happened to me.

- One time, we arrived at the camp site at around 10:15pm. And usually we're not allowed in past 10pm. Luckily they were nice enough to let us in.

- Another story would be about the time we were leaving after 2 days of camping. It was raining pretty damn hard. Anyone ever had to fold a tent in the rain? Trust me, it ain't fun... And if I remember correctly, it was the same trip that we went hiking in the forest, and it rained the hardest I ever saw. It was nuts. I was soaking wet, it was gross. There wasn't an inch that was dry...

Camping is fun, but I've had my fair share of it for a while. Too many rainy memorial day weekends spent in a tent. XD

I used to go camping in the mountains near where I live all the time when I was younger. It was never much fun, though, thanks to my dad. My brother and I used to call it "camping with Hitler."

There were lots of rattlesnakes! I'm shocked I never got bitten by one, thinking of all the different times my mother started screaming incomprehensibly and it turned out to be because of a huge rattlesnake just a few feet away from me that I hadn't noticed.

Weird. I never had any problems with snakes or bears or any animal. :/

I would go camping a lot more if I didn't have a fear of ticks latching on to me and giving me Lyme disease. >shudder<

:p I like camping, though. The campfire and the stars, the moonlight dancing on the elegant lakefront. It's all so serene, isn't it?

I love camping. I love roasting marshmallows.:) I think I'm going camping this summer with my friends, and then another time with the family. Ooh, I'm excited now.

I'm not even on my summer break yet. :(

I used to love camping. I mean I went a lot as a child and teen, but haven't been camping lately, though I wouldn't mind going. I used to go camping upstate with my dad, his friends, and their kids every september during king salmon season. While all the adults were fishing, all the kids and I would wreak havoc on the campsite making torches and playing with slingshots or trying to steal soda from someone else's cooler. Or we'd go walk around the river with our waders on and play with salamanders and kill any mosquito larvae we find haha.

Now if you meant camping *on* the RB forums.... I dunno about that... :p

Wait... aren't there moose in canada? Those things are scary.. or so I'm told. I knew this girl that lived in Alberta, and as she was driving down the road, she had to honk her horn a bunch of times to scare this bear away. There was this japanese family on the side of the road. The dad was holding a boy's leg out while the mom was pouring honey on the leg to try and get the bear to come!?!?! =_=;

Does Masquerade go around flaunting her "assets" and posting suggestive, inappropriate things like, "Should I let the girls hang out?"? I'll answer that: no. So stop talking out of your ass, Riles.

Now lets stop derailing this nice thread, okay? If you want to make this personal, please discuss it via PM's.

I LOVE camping. We go atleast 4-6 times a year. We live near a nature reserve with a nice river for kayaking/canoeing and some really awesome "beachy" spots for large fires and several tents. Nothing is better than unplugging from the world for a while and chillin' with some good friends.

Doesn't it feel good coming back to reality and technology after your trip though? Makes you appreciate your life back home. :p

That's too bad. Maybe you should try it a second time, and bring your significant other. ;)

I've never gone camping with my guy. I haven't been since I was a kid and we went at least once every summer. Usually we'd go camping at one of two places that had their own set of annoyances:

1) At a race course, so you wake up to hearing motorcycles or cars zooming around if there's an early race that day.

2) At a beach, so anytime you are out of the tent gigantic maneating horseflies try to bite you.

#2 wasn't as bad as it sounds, just because we would always bring the dogs when we went camping. The horseflies seemed to prefer trying to eat the dogs over the humans. I guess they taste better or something.

I love camping! I do it every chance I get.

I am sucker for camping out by lakes too. There is something incredibly peaceful about it.

I agree, Off is a miracle worker. I was at the pond the other day and forgot to put some on...I came out with some nasty mosquito bites; they're huge, and it hurts a little. Oh well.

Camping is nice with a trailer on a campground close lake Michigan with a calm river that flows into it cutting through the dunes where you tube and hot drunk college chicks flash you. Good Times.

my last camping trip, 2 years ago, ended in disaster because my brother and his girlfriend(the only other people who I was camping with) got sick from rotten potato salad. My brother vomited it out all over the camp fire and his gf had to drive us home, where she rushed to the bathroom to throw up. Thank god I hate potato salad.

Anyway, I love camping when I can, it's great fun!
