View Full Version : Platinum Drummer looking for full expert band to play Iron Maiden DLC on release!?!

I can't believe this sub-forum hasn't been flooded with these sorts of threads, but I am a platinum drummer looking for a full expert/platinum band to play the whole Iron Maiden 12 pack on the evening of release.
I will probably (depending on band's preference) record all 12 runs and upload them onto Youtube as well (we can be like the Corporal Gregg of the PS3!!), so it may be a good chance to showcase some of your skills!
Add me as a friend on this forum or on the PSN, my PSN: ausnick2001
(I also have a decent amount of other DLC...)
Rock on!
EDIT: We have a small emergency...Redskinsrock has said that he cannot make it, thus we will need a (pretty good) expert guitarist who will be available at around 7PM EST...any takers?
EDIT2: Crash3021 has now said he can fill in! Phew...

Awesome! Good start! Once we can get a full band together, we can start discussing timings etc. We will need time to D/L the tracks and the PSN/Music store can be a bit unpredictable with its release times...
As it stands;
Drums: Ausnick2001
Guitar/Bass: Redskinsrock2689
Guitar/Bass: ?
Vox: ?
Right, it's bed time for me in the UK, but I will check back here in the morning!

DUDE!!! AWESOME!!!! I'm getting the pack the day it comes out and would LOVE to be put on youtube. I can never really record myself playing, X guitar/bass and I wouldn't mind switching back and forth with the other dude.

The line up is;
Drums: Ausnick2001
Guitar/Bass: Redskinsrock2689
Guitar/Bass: Vampyre
Vox: skidog71
This is gonna be awesome, I can't wait! I will add you all on the PSN later today! We will need to find a time when we are all free that evening...all 12 songs will take about an hour I would say...the latest I would be able to do is around midnight GMT, but my preferred time would be around 11:00PM GMT which is;
12AM British Standard Time (where I am)
7PM EST
6PM CST
5PM MST
4PM PST
But in reality I could do anything earlier than that and anything a bit later, providing it doesn't get too late for me (my performances really begin to dip after 2AM!)!

I can be the other guitarist if you need one. I just finished downloading the pack a little while ago, so it would be great to play with you guys.

Yeah, Lang has said he probably won't make it, so Crash...your in!

Alright, I just want to know a few things beforehand:
1. You guys want to just play for fun or go for decent scores or a combination of both (I usually sync overdrive with the drummer since that's how I do that with my 3-piece band).
2. Does the vocalist want me to mute my mic during the songs?
ausnick2001
06-11-2009, 06:04 PM
1. Yeah, we are going for decent scores (although with RTTH I make no promises!!), although fun is what it's all about! So, I guess, a combination! If someone wants to post on scorehero then feel free (I can/will provide footage).
2. Hmm, I dunno...I will ask him!

Excellent job everyone, awesome playing by everybody. I hate those damn trills in the solos though, it will take some time to get them down. I did pretty good though despite those being sightreads.

That has to be one of the best, in fact probably THE BEST multi-player experience I have EVER had (and that includes playing Goldeneye back when I was 7). My only gripe is that I think I may have let the side down a bit, I was a bit below par, I was using the cymbals as well. But despite the 3 blisters, the fact that I will probably never get to sleep now (its already nearly 3:00AM) and the sub par performance from me, I still had a great time...it was definitely worth the wait!! You should see what my setup looks at the moment, its a mess of bandages and hastily discarded empty water bottles!
There was one point during 2 Minutes to Midnight where my bass pedal had rotated itself 90 degrees, which was interesting! I had to wait for a fill section to quickly put it back!
Crash, you say that was your sightread!??! That was INSANE! I am very impressed. In fact, we all played pretty well. At least 50% of them were gold stars so, cant really complain!
I will process and publish the videos tomorrow, look out for them in the morning! You can get them at my channel, which is in my sig!
Well, goodnight for now!

Well thanks, you did fine yourself and I think we all could've done better but we did phenomenal as a group doing those sightreads, getting some great scores (I acutally played a few of the songs beforehand, but the majority of the songs were sightreads). It was awesome playing with everybody and I'm glad it was one of the best experiences you had playing with other people :)
I look forward to those videos when they are uploaded to your channel, it will be fun to review how we did on the songs. I just want to say thanks to everyone else for waiting for the group to assemble before we got going since it took me a while (since I had to host) but as you said it was well-worth the wait and I had an awesome time.

Oh, and I am REALLY sorry about missing the BRE on Hallowed Be Thy Name! After I missed it I just buried my head in my hands and wept...made me really nervous going into the Iron Maiden BRE...

Yeah, the Iron Maiden BRE took forever, I'm glad the 100,000+ gave us gold.

Oh don't forget to thank Harmonix everyone for the lovely shaky arrow on song 9 Power Slave, as if that song wasn't hard enough! Also how can you all even be typing after that session, how can you even feel ur fingers, hands and arms after a 12 song straight run of Maiden?

glad it worked out for you guys, i feel a lot better knowing i didn't mess everything up completely. Crash is a better guitarist than me anyways, so it was probably for the better. Wish i could've been there though.

Yeah, my right bicep is noticeably bigger than when we started!!
Shaky arrow sucks :(
But we can be grateful for an epic 12 pack of Maiden I guess!
