im thinking of askin my mate to get fro me whiles he's in America, and i don't know how to download American dlc (i do have an American account for ps3).

so do you think that if i waited till the European dlc it would work?

I don't see any reason why not, what with the PS3 being region free for games and all that. A copy of Rock Band from the US probably isn't going to be much different than a UK copy of the game.

It's hard to say for sure though until the time comes, but I would assume once the local PSN here in Australia is updated with Rock Band's DLC, it'll work just fine with my US copy. Of course, I'll have to wait for the local release of the game before that'll happen.

US DLC works on a UK machine, but no one knows if the game checks for what region of the game you have when looking at DLC. There are ways of buying from the US store though

To get to the US store just make a new account on ur ps3 and say u live in the US.

As far as DLC working... I dont know. I downloaded the free GH3 boss battle pack for GH3 the other day and that doesnt work. That was using US DLC on a Australia copy of the game. Worst comes to worst u can trade in ur US version of the game and buy a UK version.

This is what I did, it worked last week so you should be ok to use it.

Set up a US account with a US address (I used a hotel in New York) Make sure you include the zip code.

Buy an IDT Prime card (it is a pre paid mastercard that you can buy in UK newsagents.

Register it over the phone but DO NOT register it for Internet purchases.

Go into your US account and under account management go to add funds to wallet. Add $5 at a time (NO MORE) and you should be good to go. Note that there is a charge levied on everyh transaction so you will not get the full exchange rate but you will at least be able to get the DLC.
