This from a different RB forum, but didn't realize there was a tech forum, so reposting:

Is there any reason on the Wii system that you can't use multiple SD cards as one gets filled and swap them out from session to session, for downloadable content?

When I swapped a blank SD card with my currently overfilled SD, the game indicated it was 'disabling' extra songs, which led me to believe I could not purchase new songs to put on an 'overload' SD?

So, in essence, if I fill up an SD card, take it out, put in a new SD card, is it possible to d/l to this new card, and yet still keep the old SD card useable and interchangeable with the new SD? Furthermore, if I delete some songs from the first SD, can I d/l them to the new SD?

You should be able to use multiple cards for storage and also delete form one card and move to another using the redownlaod option.

I'm not sure about swapping the card while the game is being played though. Your experience is telling me you'll have to restart the game when you want to switch dlc.

Any of the Wii guys know for sure about swapping cards in game?

It has been my experience that as you pass through the "Loading" screen, the console/game picks up the DLC from your inserted card. If you go to change out that card while in the game, you will hit the snag you've mentioned. I believe if you exit and re-enter the game with the second SD Card inserted, it will load those songs for you. Of course, you will not see the DLC from your 1st SD Card. If that doesn't work, you can always power down your system, insert your 2nd card and power up the console. From there, your 2nd card should work without an issue.

just get a 4GB card and solve your problem.

You can swap cards as long as you are not on a screen showing the song list. Just back up one screen (for example, in band play, you'll end up on the character select screen), swap your card, and hit + to get back to your song list, which will refresh to show the songs on the current card. I do this all the time.

me too! three SD Cards, and now I see I've been going about it the wrong way! I was concerned about damaging an SD Card so I went out of the game and came back in. Thanks for the tip nicko68!
