Is it possible to use a " Y " connector to plug 2 bass pedals into 1 drum kit ?

The drum kit should receive a single bass beat from either pedal right ?

Anyone out there with 2 drum kits ( or 2 pedals ) want to try this and let us know ?

Should just need a "y" connector with 1 male end and 2 female ends.

Yup. Get a Y splitter phone thingy and plug both pedals in and into the drumset.

If that is the case, then I might just go out and buy another bundle (k-ching, k-ching Hmx) instead of waiting until Feb for the stand alone guitars to hit the stores.

This would give me my bass guitar, 2nd drum set for tug-of-war's, and when jammin' with the band ..... a "double bass" for them metallica songs. ( Korn, Disturbed, Lamb of God...etc.)

Hey Hmx ..... any plans to release a bass pedal for players that want a 2nd pedal ?

Christ, yet ANOTHER thread about double-kick? Use the "search" function, folks... But just in case you don't, and because still nobody has given me a legitimate answer for this, here's the standard reply:

Why do you want double kick pedals for the game? No song in the current list (or DLC) requires double bass, and all of them CAN be played with single.

You think it's hard learning to coordinate just 3 of your limbs (arm, arm, leg)? Try 4!

Having 2 kick pedals doesn't make playing these note charts easier, people! It'll just add more confusion to your body, which doesn't even know how to coordinate 3 limbs yet, let alone 4.

Everybody should be concentrating on how to learn a single kick before they even THINK about adding another. And if you're a real-life drummer who already can play double bass, then you should already know you don't need it in any of these current songs.

Sorry, but I've seen the video of "ride the lightning", on these forums. The guy was playing on expert and hit a 98%. Seemed like the only thing he missed was some bass beats. He hit 2 out of 8 beats in 1 section, and if he couldn't do better then that with 1 pedal, then .......:)

On top of that ...... it's just a Bling, Bling thing.

As far as being confused ...... I'm a blonde ..... I'm always confused. LOL

I fail to see the point myself. I don't care if I miss out on 2% of a score or that I got 2000 more points than some guy on internet. Its just bout having fun, doesnt need to be realistic.

For some people, that is fun.

Not to beat a bass drum to death but ..... :)

I'm not really worried about 2% either, that was just an example of someone that can actually play metallica on expert, hitting 98%, and still cannot hit the bass beats with 1 pedal. Kinda shots the "no songs require 2 pedals" in the 4th limb.

About being realistic ...... it's just a game. It's all fun, I don't expect to go on tour with All That Remains after playing the game.

Now about the search ...... had other things on my mind, my bad. But that being said.... there must be quite a calling for a 2nd pedel ( still haven't searched ), why all the flack against it. If your customers want it ..... Hey there's new revenue ..... bet you never thought you could sell a stand alone pedal for double bass players. I thought the whole concept was to listen to players imputs and opinions. Geeesh.

Thought of this myself, might be fun to try, I have the mono Y adapter somewhere, and 2 pedals, just need to find the adapter:confused:

Just an FYI about using a Y-adapter:
Due to the way the circuit is arranged, you should need to left your foot off of the first pedal before you can trigger the second pedal. This might make this mod somewhat useless, but feel free to give it a shot.

FYI for the noobs complaining about the volume of double bass posts... You ain't seen nothing yet. You should have seen it in August asking about either double bass pedals or bass and hi hat pedals.

Yeah, it doesn't work very well:
1. You can't leave your feet pushed down or it will never pick up the beat.
2. When there are two fast bass hits in a row, your first foot may get released too slowly for the 2nd one to sense (because both feet will be too close and getting sensed.)

In theory, double bass is cool, but the mechanics of it don't actually allow using the Y splitter to help.
