View Full Version : Iron Maiden easily the best DLC yet?
I think this week's dose of Maiden is exactly what we needed. By far the best DLC we've even gotten. Am I right? If not what do you think is the best DLC we've ever gotten.

I dunno for me I think The Pixies album was the best DLC we have gotten cause I love them. Boston, Judas Preist, Megadeth, The Who were also all awesome. That said Maiden is fantastic so it is definitely up near the top.

Texas Flood was by far my favorite. It's a plastic guitarists dream come true.
Although this isn't looking too shabby....

With me, It'll be hard to beat the Megadeth DLC.
For some reason it's Tuesday and my Wii hasn't gotten the Maiden pack yet.

I dunno what the best DLC week was for me, since I only recently started buying it in large quantities but I know for sure it isn't this week, seeing as I'm not buying any of the Maiden songs >.>

The Peace Sells album is the best DLC in my opinion. :D

The Rush songs just slightly beat Maiden, just ever so slightly...

Boston, The Who, Rush, RHCP, Pearl Jam (especially the bonus songs), Coheed, The Cars...
It's a great pack, but to beat any of them? That'll be hard.

Pretty much every Coheed song has been meh at best.
not if you are vocalist thats for sure..Coheed songs master the art of not being too difficult while still remaining Challenging.AFHA guitar is the perfect example of this.
Difficulty does not equal fun to everybody...hence why i hated the Megadeth DLC.

Rush, 'tallica, Roadrunner, then maiden.

Meh...
1.) The Who
2.) The Red Hot Chilli Peppers (even though Snow was a waste of my cahs on guitar!)
3.) Boston
I haven't got the Iron Maiden pack yet, I see that many people like it, so I think I might get it... Haven't got Rush yet either because I wasn't a fan until I actually listened to them...
So I'm taking that I do need to get the Iron Maiden pack? Lol...

Only comparing it to other albums/large packs, I'd say Best of The Who is still above them, along with The Cars and Boston. Certainly a great pack though, probably about even with Moving Pictures, Ten, and Texas Flood for me. Clearly beats out AC/DC though. :D
I avoid comparing different sized packs to each other, since quantity and quality are both factored into my ranks. Maiden showed in with many great songs, which in my eyes would beat out a smaller pack of a couple awesome songs simply due to variety.

I haven't even touched the AC/DC album in a while... Think I might have to play some of that Wednesday after school...

No, not even close IMO. I take Boston, The Who, Pearl Jam, SRV, Pearl Jam, AC/DC, Jane's Addiction, Roadrunner, Rush, hell, even The Cars and No Doubt over it. Playing Iron Maiden make me feel disoriented for some reason...

I honestly can't say. The Who was pure quality music all the way through but had some really boring songs (Baba O'Riley, Behind Blue Eyes). Iron Maiden is great but the live tracks are so-so except Hallowed.

Behind Blue Eyes is boring in most people eyes because it's more of a drumbased song... I personally enjoy it on drums, only instrument I play on that one specific The Who song...
And Live tracks just make me cringe, which is probably why I haven't touched AC/DC in a while... I honestly don't know why though.... :(

My sentiments exactly. I have 200 DLC songs, and there's probably 200 more that I would buy before I bought any of the Maiden songs.

nah I only found 5 charts to be fun on guitar to be honest.
Vocally though it's win

Pixies = Jane's Addiction > Who > Alt-Country > Bonnaroo > Maiden > Funk
Not best pack yet, but up there for me. I would've ranked the funk pack much higher, but it only had 3 songs. (and it had no Funkadelic! :()
And yes, that's right, I said the alt-country and Bonnaroo packs were better than Maiden.

My favorites are Boston, Rush, Iron Maiden, Pearl Jam and Megadeth. Great on all instruments with a variety of difficulties.

This ranks up there with Ten and The Who pack for me.
I think it is going to be hard for there to ever be "the BEST" DLC because we have gotten so much great stuff.

For sure, especially for vocals and bass. I love it.
Favorites on vocals are definitely 2 Minutes To Midnight and Wasted Years

This might be the best or second best (next to Ten) pack released since RB2 was released. Its just that all I can really remember when the RB2 setlist was released was how upset so many ppl were that there was no Iron Maiden. So this is a big score for those ppl....
