Ok, so this is kinda pissing me off...
I've talked to all my friends, I've searched all over the internet, and I've even called all of the local game places to see if they knew anything. Nothing.
I went to the listed support site to see if there were any fixes there. I did what it said there about syncing it right. Nothing
I have like 3 other controllers, 1 wireless guitar, and they sync up fine. The drum kit I currently have was working before, but my 360 broke, so I had to get a knew one. I was trying to sync it to this system so I could record a video. Nothing.
I would call the phone number, but I currently have no working phone.I've tried everything I can to get it to work, and I've even tried it on someone elses 360, as far as syncing it goes. Nothing.
If anyone else is having problems, please, please tell me. I really want to play my drums again, and this situation has me upset, especially with the horrible support available online.
Thanks for your time and consideration in this matter,
Koulack the Blood Wolf

I do tech support (although usually not for 360s) and had a friend ask me to take a look at the drum peddle for the base on his Rock Band drum set. When I went to start working on them and tried to sync up the drums to MY 360 so I could run diagnostics I ran into the same problem. After looking around the net a little over the last hour I found that it seems to be a common issue. I haven't found a solution yet but will let you know if I do.

I just recently bought Rock Band 2 and got it home and at first I couldn't get the drums to sync. I messed around with the button a little by rapidly clicking it and then it started spinning and my joy was astounding. I didn't realize what I did until I had to configure my wireless guitar. Basically, all you do is hold in the sync button on whatever controller you're trying to configure until it starts spinning and then click the one on the 360 or whatever system your using, but that's how I did it on my 360. At first I was doing click and then click. I didn't realize you had to hold it in for a few seconds.

I have that problem on my PS3 drums. over the past week its been doing that maybe once every 1 or 2 days, then tonight it did that at least 10 times and now wont sync up at all. It just flashes. i cant find any info on what exactly the problem is and definitely nothing on how to fix it.
Oh yea and i have EL drums if that helps at all.
Another edit: ok i feel dumb but for some weird reason i decided to change the batteries haha and something miraculous happened...it works. but im still being cautious....
