Fret buttons being glitchy

So my fret buttons on my RB2 wireless guitar have started to become annoying. I have to hold them down -firmly- or they kind of "flicker" if you will.

I can still play songs ok but my poor fingers are getting tired from gripping the frets so tight. But the minute I let up it starts missing notes and held notes especially get screwed up. Is there any remedy to this situation, other than sending the guitar in? I'm pretty sure its out of warranty, it's at least 5 months old and has been heavily used. Strum bar works perfectly though, and so do the solo buttons, but I can't use the solo buttons to play (just doesn't work with my brain)

My yellow solo button has the same problem you're mentioning. It flickers even when i hold it firmly pressed down. It really makes some of those tough tapping parts in solos really tough.

I'm pretty sure it's just from wear and tear of months of playing the game. Thankfully, the Beatles standalone guitars are coming out soon.
