guitar showing up as microphone problem!

I searched the forum and didn't find this happening to anyone else so I am worried!

On RB1 - ps3, I connected my guitar and when I go to play, it is set up as a microphone. I have looked and tried to get it to register as a guitar, but no luck.

It is a GH3 strat. Any suggestions?

The result is that I cannot even get the game to play because it says that I don't have a microphone attached (I go into multiplayer and that is where I see the vocals are connected with the guitar). I have tried switching the USB ports to no avail. HELP!

Has the GH3 LP worked before?

Is your Rb1 game on the latest patch? If it's always online, you should be, if not, you'll need get it updated.

I just bought the game so I have never successfully started it (I keep running into this problem.)

As for the patch, I will try that. Hopefully it will work. Thanks!
