Is there a way to edit a character without using the Guitar controls??

I created a character for myself (Guitar) and my wife created a character for vocals. I want to edit my character (tattoos, clothes, etc) but it seems like I have to use the guitar to go thru the menu. Is this a bug in the game?

i believe u can only use the controller for vocals from what i heard....

Once you access the character with the guitar, you can use the controller to make edit. We've done it many times.

It actually works once you get into the design placement part, but you actually have to go into the design editor and select edit or apply new art before the controller will work.
