Not a big fan of him, but he did write Knockin' on Heaven's Door, so thumbs up for him.

Hurricane is a godly song.

I've always wanted a metal band to cover that song.
Also, troll at top of page doesn't even deserve going to Stupid Things.

Hate this song personally.
My favourite albums from him are his 'electric trilogy,' not really one for the first few albums, though the stuff he did with the Band in the 1970s was great, barring when he beat Patti out to the Pazz and Jop award for best album...

I agree to this. It has me enticed all the way through, unlike most Dylan songs.

I like his song "Masters of War"-- like a lot of his lyrics, it has just as much meaning today as it did when he wrote it.

I used to not get it, but Highway 61 Revisited really changed my thinking. At OP if you're serious about not liking Dylan: Get it! It'll totally change your outlook on him. At least, it did for me.

Ok, I am not a fan of his work, however, I really do think you need to give him more of a chance
Questioning his excellence based on one song you heard from a video game and can't even spell right isn't a very good way to get you're opinion across
I don't like Bob Dylan at all, but I do have a ton of respect for what he's done to music (and he's done a hell of a lot) and he is an excellent song writer.
Were he to play guitar and write in a band without singing at any point, I think I'd enjoy his music
But yeah, try and not voice opinions based on so little knowledge

Yeah, he's only one of the most important American songwriters ever. Seriously, what does that mean if one of his songs doesn't work all that well in a rhythm game?

You do know that folk is about the stories, rarely about instrumental display, Bob Dylan shouldn't be dissed. Not liking him is one thing.

Talk to your parents, check him out online, listen to a few more of his songs. The man pretty much single-handedly changed rock and roll (see: Bob's motorcycle accident) and created one of the first ever music videos (see: Subterrarean Homesick Blues). Also, Tangled Up in Blue is one of the greatest songs of all time, dumbass.

He's in my opinion the greatest rock lyricist but an even better musician. Bringing it all Back Home Highway 61 Revisited and Blonde and Blonde are essential to listen to before you judge. People seem to prefer his songs sung by others. Dylan has a voice that doesn't seem the least interested in following the melody. The difference is that Dylan doesn't sing his songs, he lives them. The others sound better because they only sing them.
