I to have received my 2nd replacement guitar with the down strum not working again. I just ordered my 3rd replacement.
It is time for everyone on this forum to file an official complaint with the Better Business Bureau unless EA / Harmonix does something to resolve this issue immediately.
Here is the link to file your official complaint. This will only work if everyone on this forum that is tired and frustrate with the faulty equipment takes the time to file.

Get a life, they are fixing the issues, most of us who got replacements are working great, hence the decline in broken gear posts and the increase of all the good posts. Sorry your new one didn't work, send it back get your replacement and quit your Wiihining

What exactly can the BBB do in this case? It's not like EA is ignoring the fact that we need replacements. They are sending them out fairly quickly at this point; the only problem is apparently that they are still having manufacturing issues that are preventing all of the guitars from working perfectly- and I'm sure they are trying to fix these issues as well as I doubt EA likes losing money on this any more than we like getting broken gear.

How could you complain to the better business bureau?
It's not like they told you to screw off about your broken equipment. It's not like they're taking your money and laughing at you. Yeah it's unfortunate that your replacement didn't work either, but they're replacing it, too. They are trying to right the wrongs.
My broken drum pedal was replaced in a timely manner and the new one is sturdier, works beautifully, and the improvements to construction can be seen.
That doesn't sound like a company I would be complaining about. You're jumping the gun here.
I don't think you would have a lot of backers on this issue.

Alright although I agree with you Missy that the BBB is not the answer, I also back up Sean about the replacements! I am on my 4th drumset my 4th drum pedal and getting ready to order the 5th! Alot of people are receiving refurbished stuff for some reason. I can tell you that there has been nothing different about the pedals or the kits I have received so far. I not one to whine, but as a loyal fan of EA and Harmonix I am greatly dissapointed! I have posted a few videos on you tube showing that my pedal does not work during quick strikes and my green pad does not work with quick strikes either. I also think it may be the game because you can see on the screen I am hitting the green pad, but you see me lose my multiplier. I like many other people have files a complaint with Planetfeedback as it goes to the CEO of EA, basicly asking him to do something for us consumers. And lastly I know everyone is stating that EA/Harmonix is trying to fix all of the problems and I agree. but you cannot possibly think that it is fair that we have to give them $125.00 to hold when it is thier equipment that is faulty.

^^ What he said.
The BBB is really only good for dispute resolution when a company is ignoring a problem or when they're ignoring you specifically (eg. paying for a service and not getting it).
In this case, EA is aware of the problems and are enacting the warranty. They've even set up a website to expedite the process. Ok, so some folks are getting replacements that are borked.. is anyone really surprised? I know I'm not. They replace them with what they have. It's not like they magically have a warehouse full of brand new, completely redesigned, gear. If they did, people would be complaining that individual instruments aren't being sold yet.
The BBB won't do much except keep a record of complaints and tell you "oh, that's nice, thanks for the input". Since there's nothing to 'resolve', there's not much they'll do.
Edit: And to CENACHAINGANG54 - You're right. I don't think a 125.00 hold is very fair. I think there DOES need to be a hold of some sort otherwise there's no way to prevent unscrupulous folk from scamming EA for a 'free' guitar, but I think 125 is a bit excessive.

I share the openion of everybody here. The BBB is not an option here. EA/HMX is working on the issue and I can see they are getting close to have a fully working bunlde. In the meantime I am waiting until a few days before christmas to buy my bundle with a late November sticker.

The BBB is used for a business who doesn't respond to issues. Filing a report with them on EA/Harmonix would be a lie, even if you've recieved 50 replacement guitars, they've responded and have been attempting to correct the issues. The only real issue with Rockband is why was it sold when these ssues exsisted, that shouldn't have happened.

For one while I am sorry that those of you in the minority have had to have more than 1 replacement, the non-stop whining and complaining about the same things is getting old at best. As well, the comment was to the OP not you who are trolling to pick a fight. Good try though.....
