Talk about those moments where music literally messed with your mind. Like you listen to something, and your first urge was not to like it, and you just get into it.
The first time was listening to "Run Run Run" by the VU. It was the first song I ever listened to by them. Those ear piercing screeches would occasionally come through, but by the third one it seemed like almost bliss. The noise became soothing. I don't know, I was just like what the f*ck!
Please end every story with that line.

'Little Girls' by Oingo Boingo. When the lyrics started I was just like 'what the f*ck?' but it slowly grew on me and I actually quite like it now.

Hello Sonic Youth! I did not like them at all when I first heard them. Then I really got into Big Black, The Jesus Lizard and other noise rock/punk bands. I think they may of helped that jump subconsciously. Sometime later I gave Sonic Youth a spin again and loved it.
What the f*ck! indeed.

When I heard Freezepop and Made in Mexico songs on Guitar Hero 2 originally, I think my reaction was something like "what to the **** is this?" After a couple months though I started to like the songs. It was a great what the **** moment.

When I first heard Visions, I was like "Are they satanic or something?'' Now I defend that song. What the f*ck.
The annoying noises at the end of alot of At the Gates songs were ear piercing, but I still listen. What the f*ck. (Cold, I'm looking at you.)

The following enter my mind:
Death Metal
The Flower Kings (I wonder if that has changed )
Opeth
Dream Theater

Tom Wait's voice when I first heard it.
Autechre's Gantz Graft was the first song I heard from them (I doubt anyone here knows of them (They're IDM)). This song, and the video got me into the band.

Radiohead when I first heard of them. The first song I heard from them was Everything In It's Right Place, and my friend said they play generic rock (I think he's only heard creep). I thought "What the hell was he talking about" and now they one of my favourite bands.

i honestly can't even remember what i thought of the first few noise albums i experienced...
i know what they were, and that i grew to appreciate them fairly quickly, but it's like "pulse demon" just sucked my bleached brain out so i can't remember what it was like to have my cherry popped.

Tri Repetae and Confield. Chiastic Side deserves an honorable mention too. Also Amber.

I'm definitely going to have to go with The Clash.
The Cranberries, too. Listened to Zombie back when I was a little kid, and absolutely hated it. Then I listened to it again a couple years ago, and now I love the band.
Asian Kung-Fu Generation is a third choice. When I first heard Haruka Kanata, I was like, "Wtf?" But after listening to it a few more times, I slowly began to absolutely love the song-- and later, the band.

"My Name is Mud" by Primus.
I once thought this was the absolute worst song in the history of music. Ever since I found out it was a Primus song, I began listening to it more often, and now I kinda like it (Still not their best song, though).
I have to say Silversun Pickups. I was like "why the hell is this guy's voice so high... oh well I like this".

i think "disorder", "she's lost control", "love will tear us apart", and a few others got me the first time, but the rest took a while to grab me.
then again, when i first heard joy division i was just getting into hardcore punk and black metal, so any subtlety in music was probably a bit lost on me.

I remember the first time I heard drone metal, it was the track "Phase 3: Agni Detonating Over Thar Dessert..." by Earth, which popped up on a metal channel on Rhapsody, I just sat there listening for the whole 12 minutes, waiting for something to happen, feeling incredibly tense and anxious, after it was over I was just "woah".
edit: Also, I guess when I first got in to Primus and the Melvins was kind of like that, it took a while for those bands to sink in, but eventually tracks popped up again a while after initially listening to the bands, specifically "My Name is Mud" on the radio, and "Influence of Atmosphere" on shuffle, and I suddenly realized how brilliant the bands were.

Another moment like that for me was the flash game Zombie Grinder (http://www.fingermonkey.net/189-Zombie-Grinder.html) (which I spent a lot of time playing in Computer Science in 11th grade), in which you basically kill zombies while listening to extreme metal (grindcore mostly, I think), and each level is essentially based around the song, and it was over the course of playing the game that I started to realize that there was more to extreme metal than noise.
