View Full Version : Yet another Rock Band horror story (Bass pedal won't work, I need EA's contact #)

Ok, so I bought my Rock Band SE box yesterday at Gamestop with great joy. I get it home and set it up, and my drums don't recognize the kick pedal. I tired taking it back to Gamestop today and they wouldn't even talk to me about taking it back, which might I add is crooked on EA's part. I talked to another Gamestop employee at a different store, and asked him about the return policy, he says you can't return them, but acknowledged that they are all messed up. Nobody at Gamestop informed me of this no return policy. They sure as hell had no problem selling me this garbage. I don't want to wait for some website to send me something. I filled out the form for the new kick pedal, but if it's the actual drum set that is screwed then the pedal won't be good for anything.

I need the phone number to call to talk to someone about this problem. I am not going to take the chance of not getting this done right the first time. So if anybody has any recommendations on how to fix this, or Harmonix\EA's number it would be greatly appreciated.

I'm having the same exact problem. Also from Gamestop, who refuse to take it back. From what I've read, it's the drums themselves that are the problem and not the pedal. My guitar and mic are busted, too, right out of the box. Thanks, Harmonix. Merry Christmas.

Gamestop's refusal to exchange these or issue refunds is just bad business. I won't shop there again. It flies in the face of their regular return policy, and of course, they don't mention it when you buy it. Considering that my entire set is broken and I almost certainly won't get replacements before Christmas, I'm tempted to just file a fraud claim with my bank.

That's a major reason why after I read of the problems I took my unopened box back to Gamestop. I'm going to try and get it somewhere that has better return policies in case I get fed up with EA's replacement program if I get faulty stuff (god forbid). I'm hoping a Costco in the area will have some.
