Believe me the bass pedal durability plagued me for a very long time. So in this case, if the bass pedal cannot be broken... the next break would be the set itself. Sure enough I started getting the "Air bubble" issue. Where as the rubber underneath the open plastic case starts to fold in and stick out. Well, okay! Easy solution. Put the Rockband Silencers on there! There we go, Issue solved.
Now for the next inevitable outcome. Drumhead cracks. The way the Drumset is structured all the support is given to the Yellow and Blue Drumheads. Leaving the Red and Green ones practically hanging off to the side. You would think that with such a big plastic connection, that it would hold in place. Well the other week I noticed that the Red Drumhead started cracking right at that connecting point between the Red and Yellow sections.
I immediately applied a crazy glue of sorts, following the direction word for word. Put a nice and tight seal of packaging tape (Because that's all I really had at the time) to keep it all in place. Left it alone for about a day and then began playing again. This is where it starts becoming a big problem. Turns out the crazy glue didn't have an effective bond and the tape... not strong enough. So it cracked down about half way. During all this frustration, my Rockband 1 set was already taken apart and put away.
As some kind of fix, I took one of the metal struts from that kit and put it under my Red Drumhead to keep it in place. Honestly, I didn't want to deal with it and I just wanted to keep playing. Sure enough the cracked turned into a break. As said in the topic title, it's hanging by it's wires. As shown by my previous methods, I'm pretty tight on money. I can't just go out and buy a new drumset or even better, an ION kit. Could I please get some help on this?
I'm stumped on how to fix this monstrosity.
