And with it comes a new personality: Nickelback! A Nickelback character is like a rock character, but at the end of each show, they cry!

Okay, I want Nickelback songs for my own song list. You do not have to download the song if you do not want it!! Please be nice!! There are people out there who like different songs. Be openminded!!

yes, but having nickelback up for download would take a better song's place. there will be alot, but there wont be unlimited songs to download.

i honestly think most of you speak bad about nickelback just to be part of a crowd. i don't really listen to much nickelback but they deffinetly are always having some song in the top charts. so i think this would deffinetly be a good idea. whether you download it or not is your choice but don't ruin other peoples hopes with your narrowminded opinions

like Rev0lver said.... It's not that Nickelback is necessarily a bad choice... It would just be taking the spot of BETTER ARTISTS (which is almost everything this side of fantasy metal...)

I definitely prefer 80's metal over any other genre, but when I came across the garbage that was The Sword in GH2, I'd take Nickelback's Side of a Bullet any day over that crap.

It depends on which songs... because really, if you listen closely to their songs, a lot of them are the same exact chords, same exact buildup and same exact chorus all over again. :(

All that said-- No for Nickelback.

I don't care as long as I have an option not to download it.

While we're at it, let's waste time with Christian rock and other bands that suck when they're not dolled up by auto-tuners, fog, and effects.

I think its funny that everyone hates on Nickelback. Its the same stupid rock/punk/whatever genere standard from the fans.

Somehow it became un-cool to have music playing on top 40 radio stations, I guess Nickelback is stupid to write songs that the general population enjoy and more importantly they can make money.

Like most bands that become popular they didn't start that way their albums the State and Silver Side Up did not have enough songs to appeal to top 40 radio and thus back then, most of the morons on here would have liked Nickelback.

That being said, All the Wrong Reasons and The Long Road have plenty of great rock songs that will never have the radio appeal that so many "true rockers", lol, hate.

Fact is, myself and others would love to play some Nickelback...........it would make everyone invovled a ton of money.............and everyone in here if given the chance would supposedly sell out and write top 40 music because its all about making money..............and finally say what you want to about Nickelback but anyone who has saw them play know they are not studio created, these live sound just as good as their recordings, and that is saying something in today's music industry.

Regardless of whether I like Nickelback or not (my opinion on said band should be irrelevant for this post), I actually do not think a DLC album would work; however, a single downloadable song of one of their "hits" might. However, I've noticed that HMX has tried hard to avoid putting very mainstream artists (i.e. the type that would be known to our non-rocker parents or top 40 radio listeners) and/or songs in their games. Take Fall Out Boy, for instance. While definently a mainstream group, "Dead on Arrival" is one of their more obscure songs. It wasn't even released as a single, if I recall correctly, and the same could be said for "Tatooed Love Boys" (from GH2) and "Electric Version" (I know this definently wasn't a single; besides, who knows who the New Pornographers are aside from music critics and diehard alt-rock/power-pop fans?) just to give a few examples. They may choose mainstream artists, but HMX likes to choose some of their less mainstream songs to expose us to some things we aren't necessarily used to listening to.

you dont have to resort to writing generic similar sounding songs to get played on the radio.

nickelback is popular because they do just that, i like to look a little deeper when listening to music and so do most people as you can see from the backlash nickelback is getting these days.

you probably are right nickelback would see a ton and thats really too bad. i for one think that the songlist so far and DLC was well thought out and not constructed to only make money but also a good song list, with the exception of a few songs.

im hoping they continue this trend.

guess well find out in a few weeks
