Hey, they've been advertising this event for South Florida - are these taking place nationwide? If so, is there a list of cities and dates?

On Friday, June 26th, join Tre and the Buzz Street Team at Muvico Parisian 20 Theaters in CityPlace (downtown West Palm Beach) as he broadcasts live from 3-7pm. Tre will be hosting a Pepsi Rockband Showcase Showdown. Do you think you have the ability to humiliate others with your Rockband skills? Then get qualified for the event by listening to the Buzz and winning on the radio or by qualifying in person at one of the Hess locations listed below. 50 qualifiers will battle on one of Muvico's 36-foot screens! The virtual Rockstar with the highest score will win a flyaway trip to an MTV Music Awards Viewing Party, an X-Box 360 and a Rockband 2 Special Edition bundle.

Thursday, June 11th at the Hess located at 5019 Okeechobee Blvd in West Palm Beach from 5-6pm.
Tuesday, June 16th at the Hess located at 5975 South State Rd 7 in Lake Worth from 5-6pm.
Thursday, June 18th at the Hess located at 3201 Se Federal Hwy in Stuart from 5-6pm.
Tuesday, June 23rd at the Hess located at 3965 S Congress Ave in Lake Worth from 5-6pm.
Thursday, June 25th at the Hess located at 100 Sw Monterey Rd in Stuart from 5-6pm

Why don't these places ever clarify the judging criteria?!?
I get the sense that the "Buzz Events" staff are prepared to go by score alone, and probably will have only RB2 on-disk songs available. I forsee... a whole lot of Panic Attack and similarly high-scoring songs.

I'd like to check it out - I probably can do well enough to qualify for the event but since I can't GS level 6 and 7 songs I know I can't win.

But hell, it would be fun just to play on a 36 foot screen!

First I got get down to one of the qualifying locations - none of them are exactly close to me and I'd have to duck out of work an hour early to get up there in time.

Dunno...it may not happen for me.
