I'm picking it up at midnight, I really like having the masters and being able to drums these songs now. I'd say a lot of people here don't want it, but I'm really looking forward to rocking out playing Freebird. :D

GH: Metallica had a great engine compared to GHWT. That's the one their using from now on too.

the game totally snuck up on me. I just found out today that it was coming out tomorrow. I had just figured it was coming out in the fall. I'm sure it will be far more enjoyable that Smash Hits could ever dream of being. I've heard the Ghostbusters game is pretty creepy and disturbing in some parts. Good sign.

Yes, it looks like this will not be a repeat of the NES Ghostbusters game :D That's a very good thing.

This thread has now been derailed in favor of the Ghostbusters current-gen game :p

do you remember that level where you had to drive the Ecto 1 on the high way and avoid all the obstacles and clear all the gaps? :( i always remember being frustrated at that annoyance.

I've had it in my possession for a week now, but I still couldn't bring myself to try it. Aside from playing Drums, and singing(though I hate GH vocals) on a few songs like Freebird, it really doesn't do much for me.

Ghostbusters on the other hand :D , good stuff

Yes, ugh, don't remind me. Of all the old Ghostbusters games, the Sega Genesis one seemed to be the least crappy. Although all of the cast having big cartoony heads was a bit weird.

I might but not when it comes out, and if I do I will only get the Guitar peripheral (unless Rock Band Wii controllers are compatible, in which case I guess I won't go get a peripheral). Personally I think Guitar Hero should stay Guitar Hero and not try to be "Rock Band: The Bad Ripoff Edition".

True. Also, I always wondered why Winston was never in any of the games. It could be they took place before the original movie, therefore, before Winston joined the team, but I remember some of them took place during the movie so... where's Winston?

There were these tea cup enemies on the Genesis game that were like harder to kill than any other enemies. It was ridiculous. You expect tea cups to shatter after one proton blast, right? Wrong. Try more like 20 shots >.<

at least jet grind radio wasn't bad.

If Unsung weren't in this game, I wouldn't even think about getting it. As it is, I'll probably rent it. The charting that I've seen so far has been god awful.

I am pretty excited that the live version of Unsung is with the old Helmet line-up though.

You know why the charting is f**ked?

Neversoft didn't do it! That's right folks, they found an even more clueless company to do it for them!!

Just beat the game on Expert drums. You have to go through every song in the career to beat it. Too many great songs on this game if your a drummer or a bassist on the charting. Raining Blood and TTFAF almost killed me, but I passed em. Expert +, hell no not even trying. :p

Great quote but I think: "That's right, this man has no d*ck..." is better.

Oh, and Ghostbusters is probably one of three non-RB games I'll get this year, alongside MW2, and the new Red Dead.

Personally, I've always liked "Are you the keymaster? Are you the gatekeeper?"

And I think Ghostbusters is going to be one the games without Rock Band in the title (or a sequel) that I'm going to enjoy.

You know what I really hate? People who complain about charts being over or undercharted. Really now, it's just a game, shut up and HAVE FUN! You cannot have fun if you keep expecting these perfect charts that match how the song is played on guitar in the real world.

It's like me complaining that my guitar shaped biscuits do not have proper strings or if I cut a person and the blood splatters in an unrealistic way.

Just silly.

I played Ghostbusters over the weekend (friend's modded 360) and it was pretty fun. A lot of talking and watching scenes but I only played like the first 30 mins of the game.

I will rent SH today after work as some of the songs seem fun. I hope it's charted like Metallica. I couldn't play WT.

Me either, and even THAT was a mistake.

Venkman: [as they approach Gozer] Grab your stick!
[they draw their handsets]
Ray, Spengler, Winston: HOLDIN'!
Venkman: Heat 'em up!
[they arm their packs]
Ray, Spengler, Winston: SMOKIN'!
Venkman: Make 'em hard!
[they rack their handsets]
Ray, Spengler, Winston: READY!
Venkman: Let's show this prehistoric b**ch how we do things downtown...THROW IT!

.

Well if I'm playing a music based simulation game then yea I do want the charts to be as accurate as possible otherwise it ceases to be a simulation and becomes an exercise in button mashing which I don't find fun. For me , and obviously many people, the fun is in feeling like your playing the music. I'll still enjoy playing songs I like even if I feel the charting is dodgy but I'll be a little bummed out about it and wish it was better.

i also hate it when people complain about unresponsive controls, poorly animated characters, crap art/graphics, buggy hit detection, bad level design, and absolutely anything else in video games...

we're supposed to be having fun, not pointing out flaws in our entertainment!

Lame Blockbusters. One had it for the Wii but not PS3. They didn't order any. Another won't have them until Friday. Freaking Metallica was out on day 1, I guess no buzz for this one?
