Did you put the laptop ON its side?

My mother did. And now it's displaying on it's side.

Maybe you could put it on the OTHER side and rectify the problem.

If it's a convertible laptop (has a screen that flips around and a pen so you can write on it), then there's usually a button to rotate the orientation of the screen. If it's a regular ol' laptop, then somewhere in the display settings (on XP: right click the desktop, click properties, click whichever tab has the resolution settings on it, click advanced. On other versions of Windows, I don't know) there should be a control to set the orientation.

I fixed it! ^_^
Rightclick/graphics options/screen rotation/normal!

Neat trick. I'm messing with some people's computers.
