I agree with the majority of your list. Now, if you don't mind, I'll fill in your question marks:

Foreigner - "Head Games"

Rancid - "Dope-Sick Girl"

And Ram Jam sings "Black Betty".

Woah, that's quite the list.

Off the top of my head, I'd say add Dream On by Aerosmith and Sweet Child o' Mine by Guns n' Roses.

Otherwise, that's quite the list :D

I agree with the majority of you guys' decisions. The reason why The Who is not in there is because they are releasing the whole Who's Next album. Which is also the reason I didn't add in any Grateful Dead.

As far as Dream On by Aerosmith and Sweet Child O' Mine, they are great songs but they lack in individual instrument parts. The drums in Dream On are a little lethargic and not much is happening, I just feel that it would be one of those songs people groan over playing after the first 3 times. As for G&R the songs bass line is sooooo plain, and the drums don't play out as fun as say Welcome to the Jungle or any other Appetite song for that matter. Which is also the reason why November Rain is not on there.

I totally forgot about Ted Nugent, and Cat Scratch would be a prime choice however Stranglehold would be the better song to play.

The Clash has a number of great songs but it just didn't seem to really grip me as a band that I would constantly want to play on Rock Band. I am not dissing the decision or the want to have London Calling as an album, which would be great to download the whole thing.

I didn't even think of Flogging Mollies, I even forgot Dead Kennedy's. This was just a list of songs that I came up with in like a 30 Min. period. If I had all day there would be much more.

and thanks for giving the band for Black Betty.

Except for the U2, that's a great list, I'd buy most of it. I made a pretty decent-sized list myself, but I see a lot of songs you put in that I forgot.

Vigorousjammer
12-10-2007, 02:45 PM
Woah, that's quite the list.

Off the top of my head, I'd say add Dream On by Aerosmith and Sweet Child o' Mine by Guns n' Roses.

Otherwise, that's quite the list :D

If they add "Dream On", it'll most likely be a cover... and the style of Steven Tyler in a song like "Dream On" has been tried before, in Guitar Hero 2... and it didn't exactly work in my opinion...

"Train Kept' A' Rollin'" worked because that vocal style is very different...

the only way i'd really want "Dream On" in Rock Band is if it's the Original Master

Scarlet_Fire

i would also say Crossroads by cream.
Hotel California by the Eagles
and maybe Black Magic Woman or Oye Como Va by Santana.
Texas Flood, Pride and Joy and Scuttle Buttin by SRV.
Up for the Down Stroke or Give Up The Funk by Parliament Funkadelic.

other then that quite the list you got there.

ThroughTheEyes
12-11-2007, 01:38 AM
Yeah I totally forgot about Santana which is funny considering how good he is. I think Hotel California is a great song but the drums are repetitive and the bass is slow and kind of boring.

12-11-2007, 01:46 AM
How about some Primus for those bass addicts.

ThroughTheEyes
12-11-2007, 01:47 AM
Unfortunately I'm not too educated on Primus, the only song I know is John the Fisherman, which would be fun to play.

Cerrax
12-11-2007, 02:24 AM
Am I the only one who thinks "Bat Out of Hell" by Meat Loaf is a must? That song is so perfect for guitar bass and drums. and the singing would be awesome.

jahreed
12-11-2007, 04:34 AM
"Money" would be awesome in Rock Band because of the odd time-signature.

Scarlet_Fire
12-11-2007, 07:42 AM
definately primus, the bass on those songs are ****ing incredible, les claypool is the bass god.

Scarlet_Fire
12-11-2007, 07:43 AM

tmanrocks
12-11-2007, 07:44 AM
If they did put sevendust in RB they need to add "Driven"

That one is good :O

ThroughTheEyes

Agreed Primus has some difficult bass lines. But they sound soo good.

Like the tunes. Good job. Lots of mixing it up. I would buy that list in a second. Glad you added Seether also. I knew I forgot someone on my list. Later.

ThroughTheEyes

Yeah, but funny enough I have also missed a great deal of bands, I'll probably update a little later

12-13-2007, 09:52 AM

ThroughTheEyes

12-13-2007, 03:28 PM
I think that these are all really great choices. I love to see them put in some more great older rock, but I would also love to see them put in some newer songs too. I think that Creed would be a good addition (My Own Prison, What If, One Last Breath) I would love to see Stairway to Heaven by Led Zeppelin. Crossfade- Cold would be a great one too. I agree with what everyone posted, really great ideas. I like Cryin by Aerosmith alot too. I can't wait when they make it to where these are all avalible to purchase!!!

Transbrak
12-13-2007, 10:31 PM
you could not pay me enough money to want to ever hear creed again in my lifetime.

ThroughTheEyes
12-15-2007, 01:51 AM
The only Creed song I've ever liked was What If. I am not a huge Creed fan, but your musical interests are different than mine and I respect that.

12-15-2007, 02:22 AM
Nice list but, may I recommend for the Pumpkins
Geek USA - because it really has a really good drum track and guitar track.
Hummer - It's a pretty good all around song
Stand Inside Your Love - Well it's kinda lacking bass but the song's and overall good track.

ThroughTheEyes
12-15-2007, 03:01 AM
All of those songs are great and would be fun on the game. The reason I put the Pumpkins songs I have listed is because it's more mainstream for all the picky people that play the game, pretty much since they had a pretty short run on mainstream so not as many people know of them though, I wish they would

Brentstah
12-15-2007, 03:10 AM
good, although here's a couple to add to your list:
anything in my sig
Foreigner - Hot Blooded
Led Zeppelin - Stairway To Heaven, Communication Breakdown, Whole Lotta Love, Moby Dick (for the drums)

ThroughTheEyes
12-17-2007, 02:43 PM
Hot Blooded is good but Stairway is too long and has no real bass or drums until the end therefore it wouldn't be suitable for rock band

cmckay1

Fade to Black needs to be on Rock Band ASAP
