help with drum fills

Does anyone have any tips on how to make drum fills go with the song?:

or you can just hit the snare drum in timing. Its the easiest drum fill and it works with everything. From observing my friends drum fills they just start hitting the drums randomly as fast as they can. You can hit the drums randomly, but the most important thing is to just stay in timing.

yeah its pretty easy to just keep goin with the beats u have goin, if it is a hard song, i give my arms a break for a second as u may need to once u hit hard or expert and i alternate between my arms and legs depending on the song, other times ill just hit like 3 notes on each pad(idk i think it sounds good)
