...."the attribution of human motivation, characteristics, or behavior to inanimate objects, animals, or natural phenomena".
Was browsing through the Ultimate Setlist forum and ran across a thread for Jimi Hendrix songs and it made me think of "Wind Cries Mary".

Started trying to think of others and came up with one more....
"While My Guitar Gently Weeps"

There's probably quite a few others out there that apply and thought it would be an interesting topic for a thread.

Long as no furries jump on board, this thread can go.

What do people have against furries? Like any subculture they have an obnoxious vocal minority, but that's not representative of the entire community.
And to keep the thread from devolving into something completely offtopic:
Duran Duran - Hungry Like The Wolf (although this is debateable)
The Smiths - Meat Is Murder (also debateable)
Peter Gabriel - Sledgehammer (Lots of anthropomorphic imagery in this one)

Because a vast majority of the community does seem to engage in 'fur pride,' draw images and stuff. Or at least, those I have met. O, and I don't like seeing my childhood raped. Poor Simba.

childhood rape is just par for the course on teh intrawebz, you can't put all the blame on the furries.

I know, and in fact I'm being hypocritical. I am/was a b-tard before the whole chanology thing started and Anon went wimpy. Nearly modded a neko board on 7chan even.
Really, the only thing I've got with furries is that they're easy to pick on.

Well that's okay then. Personally, I'm fine with anything consenting adults do behind closed doors as long as they're not hurting anyone, but I can totally get behind picking on a group just for the fun of it. :D

Hell yea. I don't really mind furries doing what they do, I raid them for teh lulz, of course. Not like any of my turn-ons are much better.

I thought that that was the definition for personification?

Anthropomorphism, also referred to as personification or prosopopeia, is the attribution of human characteristics to animals, plants, objects, natural forces, symbols or abstract ideas. "Anthropomorphism" comes from two Greek words, ανθρωπος, anthrōpos, meaning human, and μορφη, morphē, meaning shape or form.
