New game user option plz

I don't know about anybody else playing rock band, but I totally want to pick up a mic stand or something and rock out on the drums at the same time... but if I am on both at the same time, I kind of want to see them as one person, and not just for the drums but I mean it would be nice to have the ability to make any member of the band the lead singer as well. I mean, it'd be cool to not have to make a completely new character just to use the mic at the same time. Anybody else with me on this one?

are you honestly going to be paying attention to the background while you're playing? sure, it's a good idea, but there's not really any purpose

I guess the main purpose I can think of is to be able to rack up a ****load of points on one character... plus I mean, your characters do get different percents of the cut from each gig, so I mean if your playin the guitar and singin or drumming and singing, don't you think you should get a little more of the cash since your doing more? I mean, it's not really like banking up money is a big deal in the game, but I'd at least like to have an option where I can select my character to sing too.

i think they basically set the game up the way it is though for the "party" aspect.. by having everybody have their own instrument, it really sets up individuality in the band and makes everybody feel they all have to work together to finish a song or set.. if one person was playing two instruments at once it would kindof take away from that element of having a "band"

I look at the background every time they show my drummer!

This option isnt available cause the game wasnt designed for people to do this. They just decided to do it to be able to play BWT

go through the lead singer tutorials; the chick who's the lead singer for vagiant during the precussion section says "I say this because if you want to go and get a mic stand and play an instrument at the same time, it would be totally awesome"... in the game, a member of the development team suggests that you do it. Don't you think you should get credit for it as an individual? I mean, they're suggesting it.

Dude, some of the greatest bands out there have lead singers that play instruments at the same time, and how often are you going to actually get 4 people together to play? I mean, it's a good base to have where u have 4 people playing, but I just think there should be more give; for example, some of my buddies were home for thanksgiving and are going to be home for christmas, but they are really the only people I know that would actually play this game with me on a regular basis.

That was actually what I was planning to do when I got the game (sing and play guitar) but since theres those parts where you have to bang the mic against your hand in the solos I dont think that it can be done

nah, u totally can; the percussion part of the lead singing section is there to keep the lead singer busy and not bored during solo's... it doesn't add points or effect your energy or anything; this is another thing that you can check out in the video tutorial in game, but yeh, they say you don't have to do that in case you do want to sing and play an instrument.

I'm pretty happy being able to do it with two characters. There's no way this will be changed by the way. There's too much code associated with user-specific clothing and instruments as well as the issues of band leadership. I'd get used to the way it is - at least it works. ;)

Well my Favorite band has only 3 people in the bang guitar&singer,bass,drums. a band called Chevelle.
