My soccer team came in 1st for our league, 2nd in the regional tournament and next weekend we get to go to the state tournament.

We only have 12 people on our team, so if everyone is there we only have one sub.

I'm the goalie, by the way.

Anyone else wanna brag?

I was in the marching band. I never had time for sports between that and the fact that I never took any fluff classes.

It wasn't cool to be in the band, no, but, unlike the football team, we actually won a lot. :p

My school's hockey team won the AA State Championship last year.
Our girl's basketball team only had three losses.
My AAU basketball team was supposed to go to Nationals (but my damn coach went to Egypt for a vacation instead...)

As for Minnesota sports teams, well, I don't have much to brag about. Uh..we had Santana and Tori Hunter on the Twins?

I love how the Angels players and fans act like they've just won the world series or something any time they beat the Dodgers at Angel Stadium. And all the fireworks and stuff...

OH, DO THEY?
In the sports I really care about:

Since 1996: (13 years)
BASEBALL
Yankees: 6 World Series Appearances (4 Championships)
Red Sox: 2 World Series Appearances (2 Championships)
Mets: 1 World Series Appeaance (0 Championships) (Lost to Yankees)

FOOTBALL
Giants: 2 Super bowl Appearances (1 Championship)
Patriots: 5 Super Bowl Appearances (3 Championships)

So, in those two sports, that's 10 of 26 possible championships. Oh yeah, that's HORRIBLE.

Pistons are too old. They aren't going anywhere next season unless they get another player. Iverson actually made them worse. I still think the Lakers will be a serious contender in the west next season. Next years finals, I predict Cavaliers vs. Lakers, the cinderella story the media wants.

the Lakers had problems in the playoffs, and as you've all seen, can get lazy at times. without homecourt advantage, we may have not made it. so yeah, we'll have some problems. The Cavs for sure, unless some sort of injury occurs or, a big trade in the east happens. And I put the Pistons subconciously, i didn't mean to. Cavs vs. Lakers Lakers in 6

Just the presence of shaq on the Cavs will make them better. Shaq is physical unlike Ilgauskus and Wallace are. True, he's old and doesn't get around like he used to but he can still give you a great game every now and then.

the Cavs are going to have to give up people to get him as well, and its going to have to be a lot, to make up his 28 million dollar salary???, anyways there losing people, and if they go with this, no doubt the Cavs will be a weaker team. I see a repeat of the Pistons from last year coming.

he receives a ton of scrutiny mostly because hes literally the only popular athlete nationally from any Cleveland sports team. Kind of like when Barry Sanders was on the Lions,He was like that for Detroit. The Face of the City.
