Error Message on Xbox 360: " Loading has failed for an unknown reason. Selected Storage device is no longer available."

I've always had the 120 GB HDD and it has always worked.... but for some reason, this started happening.. Don't know if it was after or before downloading a patch... No problem with the DLC or the RB1 song imports because I can play them... But all my character data, band data and unlockable RB2 songs are not in the game... I go check the memory settings and 4 files appear: "Rock Band 2", "Rock Band 2 Audio/Video Settings", "Rock Band 2 Music Store Data" and "Rock Band 2 Song Cache"... none of them corrupted... Any help on this? Or do I have to begin ALL over AGAIN?! thx!

I opened a new thread to get the attention cuz I had posted on another one and no one has answered yet... Also checked the other thread and didn't find any answers

Have you tried clearing your cache...to do this go to System Setting...Memory and hit y...then hit x,x,lb,rb,x,x and then select yes. You will have to download any game updates that have taken place though.

When you say "Rock Band 2" does it say Saved Game Data? If not then it somehow got deleted. I just deleted everything trying to fix what my problem was which I just posted here...http://www.rockband.com/forums/showthread.php?t=147530

Hope that helps, actually starting over isn't going that bad at the moment, gives me reasons to play songs I haven't played in a while :)

Sounds to me like a corrupt data issue which would be basically irretrievable. Essentially if you were in a save process and the game was writing data to the file and there was some sort of interruption (power surge, corrupt blocks on the drive, system was shut down) it would ruin the data and make it impossible to recreate. This is the case with save data for any game. You may need to start over.
