XBox 360: Transfering to new HDD

I wanted to make sure I wouldn't run out of room since we were using a 20 GB HDD before and so I swap out for the 60 GB on our newer XBOX 360. I didn't have a transfer cord (and I'm not sure if it would help), but I redownloaded all our songs and content for other games from LIVE.

Now, the next thing I need to do is get all our important save files moved over. For RB I need to know what files do I need to transfer over so that we don't lose our characters or bands. My concern is that there is a 908 MB file in there and I don't see a way I can transfer this since the best they seem to make is a 512 MD (and I don't even want to dish out the money for that!). So, do I need that file in order for everything to be like it was before? What is that filed used for?

What is the name of the file? File sizes can vary based on many factors, and most of us could probably help you more based on the file name as opposed to the size.

That would be "Rock Band 2 Song Cache" and it is actually 900 MBs, not 908 MB, though I'm sure it doesn't matter ;)

I feel dumb - it's 900 KB, not MB - lol!

Anyway, I still need to know what I need to do to transfer all our bands and characters over.

"the song cache file" doesnt need to be transferred. its only there so you can play your dlc and it gets rebuilt when you delete it
