Hi, I just got Rock Band 2 on Wii a couple weeks ago and I use RB1/WT instruments on it, but mostly just the RB drums. I got some Wii Points the other day and loaded em up to the shop channel and downloaded Lifeline by Papa Roach, but every time i select it and try to play it, it loads a little and then displays:
"Lifeline is out of date and cannot be restored to Wii System memory. To use the add-on content, re-download Lifeline for which the license has been previouly purchased."
Well, I re-downloaded it and tried again, same thing. Did it one more time, and even deleted it and downloaded, but same result. I just tried it one more time to get the error message, and it won't seem to work. If anyone has any help it would be greatly appreciated.

Make sure you have at least 200 blocks of Wii system memory available, 500 would be even better.

Well, I have over 1500 blocks on my SD card and still full memory on the Wii itself, and I downloaded a couple other songs and they worked just fine. Any other advice?

Sorry about the bump but I need some help on this, I'd hate to have wasted 2 bucks on this and it not even work, I really want to get this song working.

Make sure that you have enough Memory on your Wii in order for the song to temporary download on to the wii then on to the SD card.

I have the same problem, and I need an answer, because it's my favorite song :(

I have experienced this same error on three songs (listed below) consistently, and some others randomly. Re-downloading fixed a couple (e.g. Rush's 'Tom Sawyer') when I first ran into this, but these remaining three will not work at all:
Green Day - East Jesus Nowhere
Weezer - My Name is Jonas & Undone
I have plenty of free blocks in Wii memory, as well as on my SD card.

My brother was having problems with his Wii and transfered over his Rock Band 2 data. We erased the original data and started over from scratch. He's purchased 28 songs and it says the same thing when they all go to load... What's the problem?! I'm afraid to spend more money on wii points and pay to redownload a majority of those songs!

If it helps I downloaded East Jesus Nowhere and it works fine.

Well all the songs that were purchased on my brother's system say "Preview, Purchase, Delete, and Exit" when you look them up in the Music Store. For the past couple of weeks we have no idea why we are unable to download them again... We just kind of gave up and deleted a majority of the songs and just repurchased the songs we really liked... Complete waste of money when something like this happens.
