Look on the bright side: they moved the console with the disc in it and probably scratched it all to hell, so they don't get to play Rock Band either!

Cheer up buddy. $300 should be able to buy you a system and game on eBay.

If you had credit card information stored on that Xbox, you will want to get it cancelled with your CC provider or Xbox.com ASAP.
If the credit card is saved and accessible, the thief could buy hundreds of dollars of MSP and games on your dime. It has happened before.

Good call, Apples.
Could you go in through Xbox.com on your profile and remove that without canceling the card, or is that stored on the Xbox's hard drive itself?

What a coincidence. I was at a party and there was this random Xbox laying around. it didn't seem to belong to anybody, so I took it home with me. It had a RB2 disc in it too! :p
But seriously, that sucks for you.

I'm pretty sure you can get that cancelled/adjusted on xbox.com, but I haven't tried lately to know that for absolute certain.
Either way, it's a security hole to be mindful of so your CC doesn't get slammed.

There's a CC on mine that i don't want. Hopefully your suggestion can help me too.
But that sucks. I've never had that happen.

I think there's a limit as to how many points you can charge per 24 hour cycle, but best not to let that happen at all, yeah.

If you only check your banking and credit statements weekly or monthly, that can be a sudden and painful shock even with a cap in place.
Or worse, you're out somewhere and your account is overdrafted if its a debit card.

True, best to avoid that stress at all
I was just thinking, they also send you an email when you buy or redeem points. Normally I find those to be annoying, but I'm starting to see how they are useful after all.

No,no. It was one of the wall flowers. They're unnoticed at parties, they can easily walk in, snatch it, and be on their merry way

Not necessarily true. I HAVE to move my 360 around with a disc in it. And i've done that since January of this year. None of my games have gotten scratched from doing this.
