I would love to see Jimi Hendrix in Rock Band. There was only one song of his in Guitar Hero and none in Guitar Hero 2, but I hope with the help of MTV that there will be more of him. If this game is about the history of rock it needs to have Hendrix. Some even consider him to be a guitar god.

I would like see:

Manic Depression

Purple Haze

Fire

All Along the Watchtower

Voodoo Child(slight return)

At the very least I would like to see Are You Experienced? as DLC.

I think the way I heard it was that Spanish Castle Magic was only OK'd for Guitar Hero on the premise that there will be no vocals to it. Whoever runs the Hendrix estate didn't want someone trying to duplicate his singing, which, to me, is kinda secondary to his guitar playing, so not sure why they were so worried about it. But yah, if they could somehow get around that, maybe if they used original masters instead of a cover (dunno if it's probably too old) there would be a ton of fun Jimi stuff for Rock Band.

Add Bold as love to that list....

How about DLC, Experience Hendrix: The Best of Jimi Hendrix ??? That would be amazing.

Great choices, especially Voodoo Child.

Actually, it's his step-sister, and family that is not even blood-related to Jimi that controls his estate. They sit there making so much money just off continuous records sales that they don't seem to really need to license songs for something like this unless it were to continually generate revenue. In other words, I doubt there will be something on the initial disc, but perhaps the DLC will include some Jimi.

I wish they could get through that barrier and have one of his original masters as part of what's on the disc, but I'm strongly guessing that it won't happen that way.
