Alright, so TO ME it was one of the greatest movies ever. Critics are saying that there is no characterization, the humor is bad, and there's no plot. Here are my answers to those.

No characterization: one of the main things throughout the movie is Sam and Mikayla's relationship and how it progresses, and how they progress individually. Other characters (that I can't name for spoiler reasons) also make TONS of progression.

Humor is bad: If you've seen the first Transformers and liked the humor, it's exactly the same, if not funnier! I died laughing through the whole thing.

No plot: If you like sci-fi, it shouldn't be hard to follow the plot. It's also a rather cool one.

The action, special effects, and Megan Fox are also top-notch, if I do say so myself ;)

Daytman gives it: a 5 out of 5.

This past month I've seen the first one like 80 times just to prep myself for this film.

I hope it will kick ass as I am spending 10 more dollars for an IMAX screening.

Anybody yelling at their old mom is funny. Especially when the mother flips you off. ROFL!

Yes! The way it was meant to be done! I love when Starscream talks s*it to Megatron's face!!!!

I already read the novel, and I have to say, the plot is all over the place. That said, I can't wait to see the opening sequence in Shanghai, simply because I enjoy watching giant robots kick the crap out of each other even if the plot gets downright convoluted in the latter half of the story.

If you liked the movies and want more, be sure to check out the Novels. There are four, all by legendary Sci-Fi author Alan Dean Foster. There's a tie-in for each movie and a prequel for each movie.

It's nothing compared to what the Rome scene would've been if they'd actually filmed a movie for "The Veiled Threat".

Yeah, screw Transformers 1.

Transformers 1 was a badass CGI-porn flick with robots.
Especially the end battle. That was so cool xD

As for holding to the Transformers world and whatnot, it did okay in my opinion.

The battles in Transformers 2 make the ones in Transformers 1 look like playground fights. And not even the cool ones where snot-nosed little brats beat the crap out of each other, the lame ones where two little twerps slap each other.

I can't wait for tomorrow xD

I'm still waiting if they are ever going to introduce Unicron or if I have to whenever my life long goal of directing a Transformers film comes true.

It was a good film i liked it a lot but it was waaaaaay too long. Too much humans in it for my liking, should be more about the transformers...except for Megan Fox, they should show a lot more of her ;)

I liked the movie while watching it and I think I still do. However, between the tie of leaving the theater and coming home, I've thought of many things that I found the movie did that either contradicts established movie canon or contradicts itself.

Huh, it might take several more viewings before I come to a conclusion whether these thoughts detract from the movie. I can say that the experience was great, though.

About the length: I was fine with it because it kept me entertained. I've seen much longer movies that were still good (Return of the King anyone?).

Well since you said it is the same as the first movie, it must not be to good in my mind. Well, you probably never say "Frosting Nixon" or "John Adams"

for me it'd only cost 2 more a ticket, but I'd have to drive 1 1/2 hours.

Since it seems a bit silly to have two threads about the movie open and because thread merge will be messy, how about I lock this one so we can continue the discussion in the other thread? Thanks!
