OK,
I just received my replacement guitar.
1. I am still having problems strumming up and down for 16th and 32nd notes during long phrases - slightly better than my original guitar.
2. New Problem - Overdrive doesn't work ( I have to violently tilt the guitar for it to activate) - This is worse than my original guitar.
On a positive note, there is no random clutter moving around in the replacement (dried up hot glue in my original guitar)
Our band recieved a replacement Strat after downstrum (and shortly after, upstrum) failed. Here is what we've found:
The strum bar def needs to be "hit" as though you are actually strumming. (Eventually, it "breaks in" to the point of being close to the old guitar).
This really may be a problem of who is used to what in terms of the controls, as I (who usually sing) had an easier time playing on Hard than our guitarist did (when I ususally struggle with Medium).
We did notice that the Overdrive tilt doesn't work as easily at all, and it seems to get worse with time. It's as if moving around a lot with the guitar (spinning or jumping) makes it worse, even with no major impacts. Again, as reported by others, this is accompanied by random Overdrives, especially when sitting down to play (perhaps registering on the wrong axis of tilt?). The guitar also arrived with something loose inside, almost like a screw fell into the casing from somewhere.
At least it strums. Can't wait for the PS3 patch so we can add a bassist and score some REAL points :-D
