I don't know of any official statement about wheather it is wireless or not. On the Xbox all the controllers won't plug in at the same time, there has to be some wireless. On the PS3 however all the controllers will plug in. Will the wireless controllers be rechargable? Will the plug and play adapter for the 360 work with the controllers. Will the usb cables plug into the ps3? Do the controllers have to be plugged into the ps3 to be recognized by the system since it uses bluetooth? The need to go buy batteries is a big concern of mine. I want to support Harmonix by playing the game, not duracell.

That's why they make rechargable battery packs. You have two of them, one at the stand by fully charged. So in case one dies out, you pop the other one in. It's simple. But I never really got the plug in thing. I mean, WHY? You buy a wireLESS controler, so you can plug it in, and turn it into a WIRED controller?

I personally don't care about moving around with the controller. I play GH sitting down. I really don't want to buy the game for 200 bucks then go out and buy battery packs for the instruments. If they came with them then that's cool. I just want to play the game without having to spend more money. The game is coming out at the same time as a bunch of other games. My wallet is going to be a bit depleated this coming holiday season. I could do without buying more things to play a game that I already bought.

First off, you can use USB hubs with the 360, so you could hook up 4 wired controllers easily.
Also, buy some rechargeable AA's... they'll pay for themselves really quickly.

Maybe another party will come out with a guitar that can be recharged by usb like the Frontman guitar for PS2. You just buy a pack of rechargable batteries and when they seem to fade you can hook the cord up to your guitar and the PS3/360 and it'll charge anytime its hooked to the usb. I usually plug mine up while I'm playing a different game and it never seems to pose a problem. :)
