View Full Version : Horrible Drum Set and Unresponsive Guitar

Wow, I spent over 250 dollars to get a Rock Band drum set, 2 official guitars, one of which is new for the Wii version, and a mic. My first guitar has very loose buttons that feel like they are going to fall off, and the new guitar has an out of place button that is very difficult to push. Both guitars suffer from extreme lag and although I strum, it's very unresponsive. Calibration is correct and drum notes are hit well. I can honestly say I protect my guitars well and they have never weathered a fall or strong impact that would cause these problems. Also, the drums have multiple problems. The yellow and red drums seem to be unreliable, since sometimes they work and sometimes they don't hit at all or they hit later than I hit them. The most annoying part is while I'm drumming, the error message pops up randomly saying that my drums have unplugged. I am one of the lightest hitting drummers I know, yet the drums still manage to unplug themselves. It is tedious to unplug it and plug it back in during a song.
What is wrong with these cheap instruments, and why is there only a 30 day warranty on them? Of course they won't break in 30 days, but a few months after.
Please know that I am not angry at anyone, nor am I blaming them for faulty equipment, but I would like to know:
- Why do my instruments have these problems?
- How can they be fixed?
- How can I stop the drums from unplugging themselves?
Thank you to all who can help.

hmmm...the Rock Band guitars are unreliable no matter what, you are not alone on that...that's why I use my World Tour guitar...as for the drums....I haven't had any problems with my drum kit...then again I'm on PS3...let's see what others have to say...but like I said before RB guitars=FAIL EPICALLY

Thanks for the answer. I may get a few Guitar Hero guitars instead.

For the drums I suggest plugging them into a different usb plug.

Hmm, that does sound reasonable. The cheap USB hub is falling apart...
Thanks for the suggestion!
