Billie Jean. It's one of the few that I enjoy, to be honest.

if you're talking about MJ songs i haven't listened to one since...
when an artist dies i allow some time to pass before listening to them again.

I don't remember. I didn't listen to anything by MJ the first night, then yesterday I tuned into VH1 Classic who will be playing MJ videos until Monday. I don't remember specifically the first song to come on, I THINK it was Jam, though. Followed by Scream. Which was followed by They Don't Really Care About Us, which I had never heard before and have subsequently listened to like, 40 times since then.
EDIT: I disapprove of mock MJ tags involving me.

I was actually in the middle of playing Beat It on GHWT when I heard it on the news, the first song I listened to afterwards was Man In The Mirror.

Give In To Me. Only because a friend and I were discussing his death and discussing how ridiculous so many people were being over it. I mentioned that song because the video always stuck in my head since it featured 3 members of Guns n' Roses and he didn't believe me so we YouTubed it. Good tune.

I was listening to Dopethrone by Electric Wizard. Once that was done, I turned on Thriller, followed by Off the Wall and Bad.

What I thought right after I heard about might sound bad, or even mean, but it wasn't.
First thing I thought was, "Thank God!"
That dude's been through so much crap in the last 10 years, his stress level and overall outlook had to take it's toll on him. Ok, I'll admit he'd gotten a bit...weird over the last decade or so, but he's not the first musician to do that, yet he seemed to catch the brunt. At least now he can finally rest. I know that sounds absolutely horrible, but I really felt bad for the guy.

Jeff Buckley - Eternal Life
....
Well, if you look at it from a philosophical viewpoint, it has to do with Michael Jackson, something about him having eternal life through his music.

I wish I could say Thriller, but the real answer was something by the Eels. When I finally decided I wanted to listen to some MJ, I turned on VH1 classic and watched the thriller video and a few other videos as well.

ABC.
I love the Jackson 5 a lot more than his solo career, but I am still devastated. I found the man's life story very sad, and am disgusted by the hypocrisy of media slaves who spent years berating him and then mourning him 'just because.'

Ha! Good one.
I didn't listen to MJ before he died so his death didn't spark any interest.

When I first heard he died I laughed. As bad as it sounds, I really didnt believe my smiling Gamestop friend when he came to my Chick-Fil-A and told me the news. I thought he was joking. And the first song I heard was A.B.C. when I sang it on Lips.

I would say there is a fair amount of "just because" sentiment in going on in this forum. I have been told that it is "classy" but I think that it is just disingenuous.

I was at working at sears, when one of my co-workers got a text at about 4:00. We all thought bull, and we looked it up on the internet. It was only on TMZ at the time, and we couldn't believe it.
