Hey guys and gals,
I figured I'd post something on here just to pad my friends list for some potential bandmates. I used to play weekly in a band with friends at my house but their changing work schedules messed that up. lol
I am a casual gamer. I am 30 years old and love all things grunge, prog, industrial and straight-up metal. Not really big on a lot of today's music but I don't put down those who do, and I still get some as DLC anyway to broaden my horizons. I'm just more old school, that's all.
As for the type of players I'm looking for, here goes.....first off I don't care about FCing. I don't care about having the absolute bestest scores in the whole universe. It's cool to be in one of the top bands, don't get me wrong, I just want to get some mature people who just want to jam for FUN, whether in quickplay or starting a Tour. And if we happen to rock the house down and get a top score, awesome!
I can play Guitar, Bass or Drums on Hard or Expert. I will say I tend to play on Hard as my preference, and can pretty much get 98-100% on everything. Except for some reason The Police's Next To You kicks my butt on Hard Drums, and yet I can do Painkiller & Panic Attack. That song is my kryptonite because I WILL fail. lol I can hold my own on Expert on the three instruments but I'd rather not play in a band that's obsessive with it. And I can't promise I wouldn't fail out of some songs on Expert if I was forced to. That's why I'm being up front about my preferences now. :-)
As for what songs I have. The answer would be quite a few.
55 Rock Band 1 songs
84 Rock Band 2 songs
399 DLC songs and counting (including the 20 Bonus Songs, 4 Free Songs and all of the AC/DC, Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Priest, Megadeth, Rush and Maiden packs and even less metal stuff like No Doubt and The Cars. And BTW, many thanks to Pepsi for letting me pad my DLC list with stuff I may not have otherwise picked up. lol)
So if you're worried about being stuck with just the RB2 song list, you don't need to with me. And a warning that I won't always be available for band play if you see me online (As sometimes it'll be my roommate or someone else using my profile....and sometimes I just wanna go solo and do a few quick songs before going to bed.)
