I didn't know it could get worse than their video game song... They topped themselves at THE worst audio recording ever.

Come on. I bet Joey, Dee Dee and Johnny would get a chuckle from this. Do you honestly think they thought they were so great that they would feel insulted by some young kids admiring them enough to want to play there music. I know their parents must smile ear to ear when ever they play. Good for them.

Maybe he is just going through that awkward time in a young boys life. You know you start to get hair in places that were not there before. Your voice changes. Girls no longer have cooties.

Euch, I saw that a couple days ago. It's cool that kids are doing the music thing, but sometimes it's just better if they don't.

Say it ain't so! Your drug is a heartbreaker...

I can handle a horrible kids band doing The Ramones (who were effectively over-grown kids), but Neil Young? Seriously...

It's not so much their technical ability that makes this awful. Even though it is awful in that respect (drummer needs to not use arm and stop singing so he can keep a ****ing steady beat), it's punk, and punk isn't really worried about being super technical.

What's bad is that the kids aren't even into it. They honestly look and sound bored.

But they are about 12 in this video, so at least they're trying to do something, unlike other kids their age.

I love it when people rip on a band of little kids for playing poorly. And before anyone posts a band of little kids that actually are really good save it, I'm well aware they exist.

The point is they're obviously quite young and are attempting to be creative and doing something other than hanging around causing problems or sitting around doing nothing. Good on them for trying. A young persons attempt at creativity should never be stifled, especially by ridicule. Oh noes they played The Ramones poorly, as much as I dig The Ramones, The Ramones were sloppy, as they should be. Give 'em a break. Lets hear how some of you sounded on your respective instruments at the age of around 12.

the interesting thing is that by the time these kids reach the age that the ramones were when they recorded this song they very well may be far more technically-proficient with their instruments.

at 12 years old i had just started playing drums (mostly just snare and xylophone) in the middle school band and had just started fooling around with my grandfather's guitar.

Yeah, I'm sure that the Ramones would be SUPER bummed to see a bunch of young kids playing music, having the guts to play it on stage for a crowd, and seeing kids pogo to a song that was probably written 20 years before any of them were born.

I would totally party with these kids. They're awesome.

Ill buy the first round of rootbeers.

It annoys me when people talk crap on kids trying to learn how to play music. I had a step-mom that basicly told me I sucked in so many words and it discouraged me for years. Thank God I got over it.

That's true. I still think they could've been into it a little more, but it's good to have 12 year olds at least trying to performing at such a young age. I know I was only playing in middle school band when I was 12, so the kids are ahead of me in that respect.

Oh okay. We've moved on from trash-talking these kids attempting a cover of Blitzkrieg Bop, so now we have to find something else to put down? What is with you people?

REAL hip-hop can be good. I don't know what you define as hip-hop, but as a purveyor of the genre, I can tell you that Soulja Boy, T-Pain, Chris Brown, anyone who uses auto-tune, are not considered hip-hop. They're not hip-hop, they're a hybrid genre which has yet to be named.

I just get really angry when people rag on what they THINK is hip-hop. If you've ever talked to a REAL listener of hip-hop, you'd know that they hate the stuff you're talking about, but they don't even consider that a part of the hip-hop genre.

Soulja Boy is definitely not crunk. Lil Jon is crunk. Well, actually...Crunk is a form of dance. "Krunk" is what Lil Jon calls his music. There's a fine line. ;)

Crunk is a subgenre of hip-hop music that mixes the blunt attitude of west coast hip-hop, the catchy qualities of east coast hip-hop and the dirty qualities of southern hip-hop. Add some bad lyrical songwriting and you have crunk. Though this second wave of crunk is much different to the first. :p
