One of mine didn't work either. Since it came with two, and I only need one, I'm not going to bother returning it, but it sounds like you might need to.

Same with me. The adapters seem to be of varying quality as this issue happened to me and 2 other friends. I just switched to the other one and it worked.

For the Xbox 360 version of Rock Band, you can request a replacement USB Hub if you need a new headset adapter. The replacement hub comes with the actual hub (obviously), the power adapter for the hub and the headset adapter.

Could also be the guitar...my first one sounded terrible...replacement arrived and headset (with same adapter) worked perfectly.

Correct me if I've misunderstood... Is the headset adapter for the 360 only meant to be functional when the instruments are plugged in through the USB hub?

If not, are faulty headset adapters be the cause of the non-functional headsets or is it the instrument itself?
