Hi,
I just received my replacement guitar from EA (after three weeks). Alas, it is also a brick shaped like a guitar. Unlike the previous one, this one actually turns on and plays. This is, until you turn the guitar up for overdrive. The guitar then ceases to respond. I called EA, and they are sending me another replacement. They are going to let me keep the defective one. He suggested that I open it up and see if it's anything that can be fixed. I have seen various tutorials on fixing guitars on this site. However, i couldn't find one that matches my problem. When i shake the guitar, something rattles around inside. I am sure that this is what is causing my problems. Any info is greatly appreciated!

The rattling is actually completely normal. No idea what else could be causing this, haven't heard of this one before. I know the overdrive for most of the new guitars seem wonky (Mine is crazy at times), but I've never heard of the guitar just ceasing to function.

Congrats on your free guitar shaped brick! :D
