My 2nd bass pedal cracked in 5 days....

Ugh.

This time, I made sure to play it lightly too... and obviously that didn't help.

:( :( :( :(

I'm bummed.

It's probably your technique of playing. Learn proper use of a bass pedal, it's only plastic it won't take stomping on it like it's a industructable pedal.

Yeah, I'm not stomping it.

Highland, where did you get the full metal plate? The ones I saw on eBay didn't look like they went all the way down.

My friend made a few from some diamond plate he had lying around.

We think that some 1/4" plexiglass should work too and can be obtained from TAP Plastics, or another plastic place. real cheap.

I fixed a broken pedal with just a flat steel "L" bracket, still works fine.

It is not you, the pedals are defective, no doubt about it.

You're an idiot if you think the way people are playing is the problem here. Please do everyone a favor and just stop posting.

I got a replacement pedal. It was just as bad as the first.
I designed a sturdy wooden pedal and so far, people who have been using it like it a lot.
